أَوْكَأَهُIV , Verbal.Noun إِيكَاءٌ, He set up for him a thing upon which to recline (مُتَّكَأٌ.)
2 أَتْكَأَهُ, (in which ت is substituted for و,) Verbal.Noun إِتْكَاهُ, He propped him up by a cushion or other thing whereon to recline; made him recline upon a cushion &c.
3 ضَرَبَهُ فَأَتْكَأَهُ, or طَعَنَهُ حَتَّى أَتْكَأَهُ, originally أَوْكَأَهُ, He smote him, or pierced him, so that he made him fall in a reclining posture: or, so that he threw him down upon his left side.
