استردّX , and , He desired, or sought, or demanded, that the thing should be returned, or restored, to him; revoked, recalled, or retracted, it. You say, ارتدّ هِبَتَهُ [and استردّها He revoked, recalled, or retracted, his gift: or the former signifies] he took back his gift; repossessed himself of it; restored it to his possession; syn. اِرْتَجَعَهَا. And استردّهُ الشَّىْءَ He asked him, and desired, or sought, of him, that he should return, or restore, the thing.
