التقطهُVIII : see 1, in two places.
2 Also, He collected it.
3 And He stumbled upon it, or lighted on it, unexpectedly, without seeking; such a thing, for instance, as a well, and herbage. You say also, وَرَدْتُ الشَّىْءَ ٱلْتِقَاطًا I came upon the thing unexpectedly, or unawares; and لَقِيتُهُ ٱلْتِقَاطًا I met him unexpectedly: التقاطا in this sense being one of those inf. ns. which are used as denotatives of state.
