Full Definition

تَعَجَّلَV as intrans.: see 1, first sentence.
2 Hence, تعجّل الحَرُّ The heat came speedily, or quickly. And تعجّل الثَّمَنُ [The price was, or became, given in ready money, or promptly, or quickly, or in advance]. (Msb in art. نض.)
3 And تعجّل الشَّىْءُ The thing came before its time.

def.2 تعجّل مِنَ الكِرَآءِ كَذَا He took, or received, in ready money, or promptly, or quickly, [or in advance,] of the hire, such a sum. And تعجّل المَالَ He took, or received, promptly, or quickly, [or in advance,] the property.
2 تَعَجَّلْتُ الشَّىْءَ I constrained myself to do the thing in haste.
3 And تَعَجَّلْتُ خَرَاجَهُ I constrained him to hasten [the payment of] his [tax called] خراج.
