3 Also A rag; or piece torn off from a garment; and so جُدَّةٌ : thus in the saying, مَا عَلَيْهِ جِدَّةٌ and جُدَّةٌ [There is not upon him a rag].
4 A collar upon the neck of a dog: pl. جُدَدٌ [like لُحًى pl. of لِحْيَةٌ, or perhaps a mistake for جِدَدٌ].
