دُبَّةٌ A way, or road.
2 A state, or condition: and a way, mode, or manner, of acting &c.; whether good or evil: as also , in both these senses: and a natural disposition, temper, quality, or property. You say, رَكِبْتُ دُبَّتَهُ, and I kept to his state, or condition, and his way, mode, or manner, of acting &c.; and did as he did. And دَعْنِى وَدُبَّتِى Leave thou me and my way, mode, or manner, of acting &c.; and my natural disposition, &c.
