Full Definition

دِبْرَةٌ The direction, or point, towards which one turns his back; contr. of قِبْلَةٌ. One says, مَا لَهُ قِبْلَةٌ وَلَا دِبْرَةٌ, meaning He has no way of applying himself rightly to his affair. And لَيْسَ لِهٰذَا الأَمْرِ قِبْلَةٌ وَلَا دِبْرَةٌ The right way of executing this affair is not known.
