رَقْرَاقٌ

Full Definition

رَقْرَاقٌ : see رُقَارِقٌ.
2 Also, applied to a collection of clouds (سَحَابٌ), Going and coming. See also the next paragraph.
3 Applied to tears (دَمْعٌ), Going round about at the inner edge of the eyelid.
4 Anything shining, or glistening. [Hence,] رَقْرَاقَةٌ A woman as though water were running upon her face: or رَقْرَاقَةُ البَشَرَةِ a girl whose external skin shines, or glistens, with whiteness: pl. رَقَارِقُ, applied to soft, or tender, young women. [Hence also,] الرَّقْرَاقُ is The name of a sword of Saad Ibn-'Obádeh El-Ansáree.
5 Applied to a day, i. q. صَارٌّ [app. a mistranscription for حَارٌّ, i. e. Hot; like رَقَاقٌ; as though shining, or glistening, with the sunlight].
