Full Definition

زَمَرَI , Present.T ـِ and ـُ Verbal.Noun زَمْرٌ and زَمِيرٌ and زَمَرَانٌ; and زمّر , Verbal.Noun تَزْمِيرٌ; He [piped, or] played upon a reed; he blew in a مِزْمَارٌ.
2 [Hence,] زَمَرَ النَّعَامُ, and زَمَرَتِ الهَيْقَةُ, or النَّعَامَةُ, Present.T ـِ Verbal.Noun زِمَارٌ and زُمَارٌ, The ostriches, and the she-ostrich, cried, or uttered their, or her, cry. [Said only of the females, or a female:] of the male ostrich one says only عَارَّ.
3 And زَمَرَ بِالحَدِيثِ He published, or divulged, the story.
4 And زَمَرَ فُلَانًا بِفُلَانٍ He excited, or incited, such a one against such a one.
