شَجَرَةٌ
a tree having thorns: [or thorny; having many thorns; for]
شَجَرَةٌ signifies a thorny tree, or a tree having many thorns, accord. to ISk; as also
شجرة [in the CK شَوْكَةٌ] and شَائِكَةٌ and
. And
أَرْضٌ
A thorny land, or a land in which are many thorns: and [in like manner] أَرْضٌ a thorny land, or a land abounding with thorns; a land in which are the [thorny trees called] سِحَآء
and
قَتَاد
and
هَرَاس.
2 شَائِكُ السِّلَاحِ and السلاحِ, with refa to the ك, [in the CK, erroneously, شاكِ,] and السلاحِ, which is of the dial. of El-Yemen, and السلاحِ, this last formed by transposition from the first, or, as Fr says, شَاكِى السلاحِ and شَاكُ السلاحِ are like جُرُفْ هَارٍ and هَارٌ,
