صِرْفٌ : see its dual in the next preceding paragraph, near the middle.

def.2 Also Pure, unmixed, or free from admixture; applied to wine, or beverage, as meaning unmixed, and so مَصْرُوفٌ , and to other things, to blood, and to phlegm, and to anything as meaning free from turbid foulnesses: and صَرِيفٌ likewise signifies anything having in it no admixture.

def.3 And A certain dye, a red dye, with which the thongs, or straps, of sandals are dyed, or with which the hide is dyed: or a certain red thing with which the hide is tanned (يُدْبَغُ [perhaps a mistranscription for يُصْبَغُ]).
