عِضَاضٌ , with kesr, like كِتَابٌ, or عَضَاضٌ , like سَحَابٌ, a subst., like سَيَابٌ, not an Verbal.Noun, and عَضِيضٌ , The act, or fault, of biting, in a beast, or a horse. You say to the purchaser of a beast, when selling it, بَرِئْتُ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ العِضَاضِ, and , i. e. [I am irresponsible to thee for] its biting men; or مِنْ هٰذِهِ الدَّابَّةِ [for the biting of this beast]. And دَابَّةٌ ذَاتُ and عِضَاضٍ [A beast having a fault of biting].
