Full Definition

عَقِيدٌ i. q. مُعَاقِدٌ , One who unites, or joins, in a contract, a compact, a covenant, an agreement, a league, a treaty, or an engagement: a confederate. One says, هُوَ عَقِيدُ الكَرَمِ and اللُّؤْمِ [He is bound by nature to generosity and to meanness]: the former is said of him who is by nature generous; and the latter, of him who is by nature mean.
2 Also, and مُعْقَدٌ , and , applied to rob, and honey, and the like, Thick, or thickened, or inspissated.
