Full Definition

كَابُوسٌ [Incubus, or nightmare;] what comes upon a man in the night, preventing his moving while it lasts; accord. to some, the forerunner of epilepsy. Some think that this is not Arabic, and that the proper word is نَيْدُلَانٌ, and بَارُوكٌ, and جَاثُومٌ. Hence, app., Modus certus coëundi: or rather, coïtus itself.
