مَرْقَدٌ A sleeping-place: pl. مَرَاقِدُ. You say, بَعَثَهُ مِنْ مَرْقَدِهِ [He roused him from his sleeping-place]. And أَخَذُوا مَرَاقِدَهُمْ [They took their sleeping-places].
2 It seems, from the manner in which it is used in the Kur xxxvi. 52, [like the former of the two exs. mentioned above,] that it may perhaps also be an Verbal.Noun
