, also without ء, A female diviner: so called because she seeks, or searches after, news: see the verb: or from انشأ “ he originated: ” or مُسْتَنْشِئَةُ, without tenween, is the proper name of a certain female diviner, one of the Muwelledehs (مُوَلَّدَات) of Kureysh, in the time of Mohammad.
