مَصُونٌ and مَصْوُونٌ , like مَدُوفٌ and مَدْوُوفٌ, (S and Msb in art. دوف, q. v.,) the latter of the dial. of Temeem, Preserved, kept, laid up, taken care of, or reserved; applied to a garment [&c.]; as also صَوْنٌ , which is an Verbal.Noun used. as an epithet: one should not say مُصَانٌ, nor مُنْصَانٌ, as the vulgar say.
