Full Definition

هِجِّيرٌ Custom; manner; habit; wont: state; condition; case; syn. دَأْبٌ, and عَادَةٌ, and دَيْدَنٌ, and شَأْنٌ: and the speech, or language, of a man; [or what one is accustomed to say;] syn. كَلَامٌ: as also هِجِّيرَى , and إِهْجِيرَى , and , and أُهْجُورَةٌ , and هِجْرِيَّا , and إِجْرِيَّا, and إِجْرِيَّآءُ. You say, مَا زَالَ ذٰلِكَ هِجِّيرَهُ, (A, K, * TA [in the CK, هٰذَا هِجِّيرَتُهُ,]) and هِجِّيرَاهُ, and إِهْجِيرَاهُ, &c., That ceased not to be his custom, &c. And مَا لَهُ هِجِّيرَى غَيْرُهَا He has no custom, &c., other than it.
