Full Definition

أَحَفَّتْIV , said of a woman: see 1.

def.2 أَحْفَفْتُ رَأْسِى I made my head to remain long without ointment [so that the hair became shaggy, matted, frouzy, or dusty].
2 [Hence, app.,] أَحْفَفْتُهُ I spoke evil of him.

def.3 أَحْفَفْتُ الفَرَسَ I urged the horse to run vehemently so as to cause him to make a sound such as is termed دَوِيّ [i. e. a confused and continued sound] in his running, [with his feel, (see حَفَّ,)] or in his belly: the former is probably the right meaning.

def.4 أَحْفَفْتُ الثَّوْبَ I wove the piece of cloth with the حَفّ, i. e. the مِنْسَج; as also , (K, TA, [in the CK حَفَفْتُهُ,]) Verbal.Noun تَحْفِيفٌ.
