الرَّفْرَافُ The bird called خَاطِفُ ظِلِّهِ. (Ibn-Selemeh, S, O, K. [See art. خطَفَ.]) And sometimes, The male ostrich: because he flaps his wings (يُرَفْرِفُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ) and then runs.
