Full Definition

اوصبهُIV It rendered him ill, or sick. See وَصَبٌ.
2 اوصبهُ He afflicted him with a disease, sickness, or malady. See وَصَبٌ.
3 اوصب He had diseased children born to him. Accord. to IKtt, اوصب القَوْمُ The people had their children wearied by disease.

def.2 اوصبتِ النَّاقَةُ الشَّحْمَ The she-camel grew fat, and continued so: [explained in the K by نَبَتَ شَحْمُهَا, [which is probably a mistake for ثَبَتَ; and if so, I prefer another reading of the phrase in the K, mentioned in the TA; namely, اوصب النَّاقَةَ الشَّحْمُ; i. e., the she-camel was constantly fat].
2 اوصبت النَّاقَةُ, and , The she-camel yielded milk continually, or constantly.
