جَابِرٌ

Full Definition

جَابِرٌ , and جَابِرُ بْنُ حَبَّةَ, names of Bread; and أَبُو جَابِرٍ is a surname thereof; and so أُمُّ جَابِرٍ: which last also signifies the ear of corn: (T in art. ام:) and i. q. الهَرِيسَةُ [grain, or wheat, bruised, or brayed, and then cooked].
2 فُلَانٌ جَابِرٌ لِى i. q. مُسْتَجْبِرٌ [Such a one exerts himself much, or exceedingly, or to the utmost, in paying frequent attention to me, taking care of me, or putting my affairs into a right, or proper, state].
