حَاتِمٌ

Root: حتم

Full Definition

حَاتِمٌ A judge; or one who decrees, ordains, or pronounces a judicial decision: pl. حُتُومٌ, like as شُهُودٌ is pl. of شَاهِدٌ.

3 And [hence,] حَاتِمٌ signifies also Unlucky, or inauspicious.
4 See also أَحْتَمُ.
