حِشَاكٌ , thus correctly written, like كِتَابٌ, but in [most of] the copies of the K like سَحَابٌ, (TA, [in the CK like سَحَابَةٌ,]) A piece of wood which is put in the mouth of a kid, across, and tied at the back of his neck, to prevent him from sucking: also called شِبَامٌ.
