دَابِرَةٌ

Full Definition

دَابِرَةٌ : see the next preceding paragraph, in three places.
2 Also The end of a tract of sand: pl. دَوَابِرُ.
3 Of a solid hoof, The hinder part: or the part that corresponds to the hinder part of the pastern: or the part that is next after the hinder part of the pastern: pl. as above.
4 Of a bird, The back toe: it is with this that the hawk strikes: or a thing like a toe, in the inner side of the foot, with which the bird strikes: that of a cook is beneath his صِيصِيَة [or spur]; and with it he treads: pl. as above.

6 Also A mode of شَغْزَبِيَّة [or throwing down by a trick] in wrestling.
