دُعْبُوبٌ , applied to a man, Brisk, lively, or sprightly.
2 Stupid, or foolish; as also أَدْعَبُ , and دُعْبُبٌ : and stupid, or foolish, and jesting, or joking.
3 Weak, and an object of ridicule.
4 Short and ugly and contemptible.
5 I. q. مُخَنَّثٌ, or مُخَنِّثٌ, of the form of the act. part. n., [Effeminate, &c.]
6 Applied to a horse, Tall, or long-bodied; syn. طَوِيلٌ.

def.2 A road beaten, or trodden, travelled, and plain, or conspicuous.
