دَوْقَعَةٌ Poverty: and abasement, or abjectness: and calamity. You say, in imprecating, رَمَاهُ ٱللّٰهُ بِالدَّوْقَعَةِ [May God afflict him with poverty: &c.]: or رماه اللّٰه فِى الدَّوْقَعَةِ [may God cast him into poverty: &c.].
