Full Definition

رَتِلٌ and رَتَلٌ , [the latter an Verbal.Noun used as an epithet,] applied to front teeth, (ثَغْرٌ, T, S, M, Mgh, Msb, K,) Well set together: or even in growth: or separate, one from another; or having interstices between them, not overlapping one another: or separate, one from another, and even in the manner of growth, and well set together; as also مُرَتَّلٌ : or separate, one from another, well set together, very white, and very lustrous.
2 And رَتِلٌ, or رَتِلُ الأَسْنَانِ, [or الثَّغْرِ,] A man having the teeth [or the front teeth] separate, one from another, &c.
3 And رَتَلٌ and رَتِلٌ, applied to speech, or language, i. q. مُرَتَّلٌ ; i. e. uttered in a leisurely manner, and distinctly, without exceeding the proper bounds or limits: or good, and uttered in a leisurely manner.
4 And رَتِلٌ and رَتَلٌ , applied to anything, Good, sweet, or pleasant.
5 And the former, applied to water, Cold, or cool.
