صَمَّانٌ
Hard ground, [i. e.] any such ground, containing stones, by the side of sands; as also
صَمَّانَةٌ : or the latter is a n. un.; and the former signifies hard ground: or rugged ground, falling short of what is called
جَبَلٌ: it is so called because of its hardness.
