عَسَل [i. e. honey].
2 [Hence,] عَسَلِىُّ اليَهُودِ The distinctive mark, or sign, [which has sometimes been a honey-coloured turban, at other times a girdle, or some other article of attire, of the same colour,] of the Jews.
