Full Definition

عُضٌّ The provender, or fodder, of the people of the cities or towns; such as the dregs of sesamegrain from which the oil has been expressed, and crushed date-stones: or dough with which camels are fed: and [the trefoil called] قَتّ, i. e. فِصْفِصَة: and barley and wheat, not mixed with any other thing: or date-stones crushed, and قَتّ, with which camels are fed: and thick, or course, trees [or shrubs] remaining in the earth: as also عَضَاضٌ : or date-stones crushed, and dough: and barley with one of those two things; but 'Alee Ibn-Hamzeh disallows its application to date-stones: or thick, large firewood, collected: and dry herbage with which beasts are fed.
