عَنْسَلٌ A swift she-camel; as also عَسْلٌ : (K, TA: [العَسَلُ in the CK, as syn. with العَنْسَلُ, is a mistranscription:]) the ن in the former is augmentative; for, as Sb says, the word is of the measure فَنْعَلٌ from [the Verbal.Noun] العَسَلَانُ; not, as Mohammad Ibn- Habeeb asserts it to be, syn. with عَنْسٌ, and of the measure فَعْلَلٌ, with the ل augmentative.
