Full Definition

مَجُودٌ A field, or garden, rained upon: [or rained upon copiously, or abundantly.] And أَرْضٌ مَجْودَةٌ Land rained upon with a copious, or an abundant, rain.
2 A man affected with thirst: [or, with vehement thirst: (see جُوَادٌ:)] or at the point of death, or destruction.
3 And [hence,] Affected with longing desire.
4 Also Overcome by drowsiness, or slumber: or distressed by drowsiness, or slumber, &c.
