مَغْرِسٌ

Full Definition

مَغْرِسٌ A place of planting: pl. مَغَارِسُ.
2 Hence, metaphorically, A woman, or wife.
3 [Hence also the saying,] اُطْلُبِ الخَيْرَ فِى مَغَارِسِهِ [Seek thou good in the persons in whom it is naturally implanted]; as also, فِى مَغَارِزِهِ. (A and TA in art. غرز.)
