Full Definition

نَادَىIII [He made proclamation of him] بِٱلْإِفْلَاسِ or أَنَّهُ أَفْلَس or بِأَنَّهُ صَارَ مُفْلِسًا [that he had become bankrupt, or insolvent].
2 [نَادَى به He proclaimed it; made proclamation of it: a very common signification, but one which I have not found in any Lex.]
3 You say also نَادِى فِى النَّاسِ, meaning تَأَذَّنَ and تقَدَّمَ and أَعْلَمَ. (S in art. اذن. See آذَنَهُ].)
4 وَنُودُوا أَنْ تِلْكُمُ الجَنَّةُ: see أَنْ as a contraction of أَنَّ.
5 نَادَاهُ تُرَابُهُ: see نبأته الارض.
6 نَادَاهُ He called him; called to him; summoned him, or hailed him: or, and نادى بِهِ, he called out to him with the loudest voice.
