Full Definition

نَاغِضٌ [In a state of motion, commotion, or agitation, or convulsion; shaking; shaking about; wabbling; tottering; wagging; nodding: pl. نُغَّضٌ]. You say, مَحَالٌ نُغَّضٌ [Great pullysheaves in a state of motion, &c.]. And غَيْمٌ نَاغِضٌ and نَغَّاضٌ A cloud, or clouds, becoming dense, and then ready to rain, and seen to move about, one part into another, without going along: or in a state of motion, or commotion, one part after another, not travelling along: or seen to move about, one part into another, without going along.
2 Also, or نَاغِضَةٌ . and نُغْضٌ and but this is rare, A cartilage or the cartilage of the shoulder-blade: or the part thereof where it mores to and fro: or the upper part of the end of the cartilage of the shoulder-blade: or the of the shoulder-blade is the thin bone at the extremity thereof: or the are the parts of the root of the shoulder blade that move about in walking: and the نَاغِض of a man is the base of the neck, where he moves about his head,
