Full Definition
2 Also, applied to a she-camel, Sharp; spirited; vigorous: a correct meaning thus applied: or strong: one that precedes, or outgoes, others: or strong in spirit: pl. as above.
3 Also, so applied, Abounding with milk: and, that vies with the other camels in abundance of milk, and surpasses them therein, or yields abundance when they have little: [but for إِذَا غَزُرْنَ, in the copies of the K in my hands, meaning “ when they yield abundance of milk, ” I read اذا غَرَزْنَ:] pl. as above.
4 Also, so applied, That lies down upon a high, or elevated, place: or that will not lie down save upon high ground: pl. as above.
5 Also, An intelligent woman; sharp, or quick, in intellect: possessing judgment; as though she exerted her judgment in affairs: a strange meaning in which the word is used in a trad.: pl. as above.
6 See مَنْجُودٌ, and مُنَاجِدٌ.
def.2 نَجُودٌ One who works in shaking and spreading and stuffing and arranging [those articles of household furniture which are called] نُجُود [pl. of نَجْدٌ]. See also نَجَّادٌ.
