مَحْرِفٌ

Full Definition

مَحْرِفٌ A place to which to turn away, or back, from a thing. So in the saying, مَالِى عَنْ هٰذَا الأَمْرِ مَحْرِفٌ [I have no place to which to turn away, or back, from this thing].
2 Also, and مُحْتَرَفٌ , A place in which a man earns or gains [subsistence], or labours to do so, and employs himself as he pleases, or follows his various pursuits.
