رَمَدُواI , [Present.T, app., ـِ] Verbal.Noun رَمْدٌ; and ; for which A 'Obeyd erroneously says رَمِدُوا, with kesr to the م; and , with teshdeed to the د; They perished: or became like رَمَاد [or ashes]: and رَمَدَ عَيْشُهُمْ, or ارمد عيشهم, has the former meaning. And رَمَدَ [so in the T and L and TA, not رَمُدَ,] Present.T ـُ Verbal.Noun رُمُودَةٌ, It perished by becoming old and wornout, and had no goodness and lastingness.
2 رَمَدَتِ الغَنَمُ, Present.T ـِ Verbal.Noun رَمْدٌ, The sheep, or goats, perished by reason of cold, or of hoar-frost or rime.
