ابتاضVIII He put upon himself a بَيْضَة [or helmet] of iron.

def.2 ابتاضهُمْ He entered into their بَيْضَة [or territory, &c.]: and ابتاضوا القَوْمَ They exterminated the people, or company of men; they extirpated them; as also : and اُبْتِيضُوا [originally اُبْتُيِضُوا; in the CK, incorrectly, ابتَيَضُوا;] They were exterminated, or extirpated, and their بَيْضَة [or quarter, &c.,] was given up to be plundered: and اِبْتَضْنَاهُمْ We smote their بيضة [or collective body, &c.,] and took all that belonged to them by force; as also : and الحَىُّ The tribe was so smitten &c.
