Full Definition

حادثIII , Verbal.Noun مُحَادَثَةٌ, He polished his sword; [as though he made it new by doing so;] as also احدثهُ , Verbal.Noun إِحْدَاثٌ.
2 Hence, حَادِثُوا هٰذِهِ القُلُوبَ بِذِكْرِ ٱللّٰهِ فَإِنَّهَا سَرِيعَةُ الدُّثُورِ Polish and cleanse ye these hearts by the remembrance of God, like as the sword is polished: [for they quickly become sullied:] a trad. of El-Hasan.
