خامرIII
as an intrans. v.: see 1, in three places.
def.2 خامرهُ, Verbal.Noun مُخَامَرَةٌ, It mixed, mingled, commingled, intermixed, or intermingled, with it; became incorporated, or blended, with it; infected, or pervaded, it; syn. خَالَطَهُ. You say, خامر المَآءَ اللَّبَنَ The water mixed with the milk. And خَامَرْتُ فُلَانًا I mixed with such a one in familiar, or social, intercourse; conversed with him; or became intimate with him; syn. خَالَطْتُهُ. And الخَمْرُ
تُخَامِرُ العَقْلَ: see 1. And خامرهُ الدَّآءُ The disease infected, or pervaded, him; syn. خَالَطَهُ: or infected, or pervaded, (خالط,) his inside.
2 Also, Verbal.Noun as above, He approached it; or was, or became, near to it; namely, a thing.
3 And خامر المَكَانَ, Verbal.Noun as above, He kept, or clave, to the place; did not quit it; remained, stayed, dwelt, or abode, in it; and in like manner, بَيْتَهُ
