Full Definition

رَاهٍ A life (عَيْشٌ) ample in its means or circumstances, unstraitened, or plentiful, easy, pleasant, soft, or delicate; and quiet, or calm. Easy; as an epithet applied to a [journey such as is termed] خِمْس. And Anything still, or motionless; as also رَآءٍ.
2 طَعَامٌ رَاهٍ Food that continues, or is permanent; like رَاهِنٌ: and [in like manner (see رَاهِنٌ)] the fem. of each, with ة, is applied to wine. [Freytag adds, “ Inde dicitur راهى الاباجل Celer de equo: ” but راهى is here a mistranscription for وَاهِى: see أَبْجَلُ.]
