Full Definition

افتلقVIII He strove, or exerted himself, so that he excited wonder by reason of his vehemence in running; as also تفلّق and تَفَيْلَقَ . One says, مَرَّ يَفْتَلِقُ فِى عَدْوِهِ, and فِيهِ, and , He passed along doing what was wonderful by reason of his vehemence in his running. See also 4, in two places.
